Opposition vs. deportation row

In the midst of a mass political row on the deportation of more than 100 Indian nationals in the United States, the opposition is asking why the center did not intervene to recover them in their terms. According to the reports, the deportees, many of whom had illegally entered the United States, were chained and handcuffed aboard an American military plane before landing in Amritssar yesterday. The center has defended its position, citing international obligations, but opposition leaders have accused him of inaction and not protecting the Indian citizens of the alleged abuse.
