How a teammate once saved Reggie Miller to the member of the Hall of Fame to enter a fight

Al Harrington was great with rookie rookies in his first year with the Indiana Pacers in 1998.

He had no trouble taking hot donuts and orange juice for veterans before practice and games. He allowed them to make fun of his explorer dora backpack. He became staff when he felt that the member of the Reggie Miller Hall began to bother him without any reason.

“I was just bothering me,” Harrington said in the podcast out the mud with Zach Randolph and Tony Allen. “I remember that I went home and my mind was determined. I thought, ‘they must be trying to see if I can fight or something.”

At that time, Harrington lived with his teammate Antonio Davis. It was still adapting to the life of the NBA after being recruited directly from high school. It was then that his old man gave him some good advice on having a long career in the league. Harrington already had the determined mind that he was going to fight Miller, the most distinguished player in the history of Pacers, the next day in practice.

“Let’s fight tomorrow,” said Harrington. “As soon as he said something … (Davis) was like:” That young friend wouldn’t do. This is how you are going to get your butt from the league, fighting reggie Miller. “… the best advice I could have given me.
