Beverage driver who seriously injured the family in jail

A drink driver who seriously wounded a woman already her two children in an accident has been imprisoned for two years.

Christopher Burden, 46, from Weaveland Road in Tisbury, crashed his motorcycle in a car parked on November 17, 2023. He was helped by the spectators who suspected that he was drunk.

When he came home, he got into his BMW car, despite having exceeded the driving limit, and minutes later he crashed into a vehicle that contained the family in the A30 in Donhead St Mary.

Burden, who declared himself guilty of three charges of causing serious dangerous lesions, received a two -year custody sentence when he appeared on Friday at Salisbury Crown Court.
