A person was seriously injured after being hit by a attached patrol vehicle out of service, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff Office.

What we know:

HCSO said the deputy’s marking hit a pedestrian in Memorial Hwy. Near Hillsborough Ave. shortly after 9 pm on Tuesday.

The first to respond led the pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries, the researchers said, adding that the accident seems to have been accidental.
