Gofundme launched for a seriously injured woman in Harford hit

Abingdon, Maryland-A man from Abingdon was arrested after a serious being in Harford County, and a Gofundme has raised More than $ 6,000 so far for the victim.

The victim, Amaya Marie Martise, 21, was hit by a car while returning from Walmart along Tollgate Road on Sunday night.

It was not found until the next morning, seriously injured and lying on a ditch, said the Sheriff’s office.

The deputies arrested Lebogang-Rra Mutshabi, 25, who was released on February 12 with a bail of $ 5,000.

The researchers believe that Muteshabi was driving around 6 pm on February 9 when he hit the victim, pushing her from the road. The articles he carried were found near the accident site.

An passerby found her around 9 am in South Tollgate Road in Aiken Terrace. The Medevac helicopter took her to a trauma center, said the Sheriff’s office.

Mutshabi was accused of not returning to the scene of an accident that involved injuries, driving without a license, driving without insurance and related crimes.

The victim, who has a 1 year old daughter, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

His mother posted in a gofundme;

Fifteen years ago, we moved to this area, and since then, Amaya has made a daily routine to take a quiet walk near our house. Tragically, last week, this routine walk ended in a horrible accident. Amaya was hit by a car, and the insensitive driver not only fled the scene, leaving her injured and alone in the cold and humid forests, but was released under a surprisingly low bail of $ 5,000 …

While we are immensely grateful that she survived, her medical expenses are expected to be substantial, far exceeding what our insurance will cover. Beyond medical invoices, there is the additional burden of ensuring children’s care for their daughter, while Amaya cures …

Amaya is a resistant woman, and despite the trauma she has endured, she has a notable force of spirit. We hope for their complete recovery and we are working tirelessly to ensure that both she and her daughter receive the care and support they need.
