Children and woman murdered, suspicious of amber alert killed after a night of horror through Riverside

Riverside, Mo. (KCTV) – 10:40 am update: The Platte County Sheriff’s office confirms the suspect, George C. Manning, III killed a woman and stole the car in a car wash in Riverside just after 11:00 pm on Thursday night. From there he fled to a house in the 4400 block of NW 50th Street, where he entered, killed a child and shot a second woman. The boy died. The woman is hospitalized. It is in that house that Manning took a 5 -year -old girl who led to Amber’s alert. The early morning of Friday, the girl stayed with a physically unharmed relative. A short time later, the suspect was included as dead in Riverside after a shooting involved by the police.

The Amber Alert issued for Giuliana Manning, five years old, has been canceled. At approximately 5:10 am, Giuliana was located and is safe, unharmed and has met with family members.

George C. Manning, the person of interest in the double homicide and the kidnapping of children, remains in general. It is believed that George Manning is occupying a stolen vehicle in the metropolitan area and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information about the location of George C. Since it is no longer believed that the suspect is on foot or in block 4400 of NW 50th Street, there is no longer an immediate threat in that area.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are now looking for the suspect, George Manning.

George Manning, a 43 -year -old black man at 5′7 ″ and about 150 pounds. Police say he wore a white shirt at the time of kidnapping.

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office and the Riverside Missouri Police Department are investigating.

The first homicide occurred in Riverside at 11:15 pm near the intersection of Vivion Road and Nw High Drive. The suspect took the vehicle of that victim of the scene and went to a second location in Platte County not incorporated.

In a secondary location, Manning reached a residence in the 4400 block of NW 50th Street, where he triggered two others, killing one and hurting another. That’s where Manning took out the girl from the residence and ran.
