Washington extradited man, accused of sexually assaulting women in Up

Chippewa County, Mi-A man accused in 2016 of four first-degree criminal sexual conduct has been extradited back to Michigan. On Thursday, Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that Aaron Jarret, 36, was prosecuted in District Court 91 in relation to an alleged assault of 2016.

Jarrett, more recently from Clark County, Washington, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman from Chippewa County in May 2016. Jarrett was accused in the matter that same year, but seems to have fled before being processed. The bonus was set at $ 500,000 and must be returned to the Court on March 13.

The American bailiff service extradited Jarrett back to Michigan as part of the Justice surviving operation.

“In the six months since we announced the Surviving Operation Justice, my office has worked with county prosecutors throughout the state and the US sheriff service to extradite more than a dozen people accused of horrible sexual assaults,” said Nessel. “I remain committed to continue this important job to keep our communities safe and ensure that those who commit these crimes are responsible.”

Operation Survivor Justice is an association between the Department of the Attorney General of Michigan, the County Prosecutors and the Marshals, which is financed through a state allocation of $ 1 million. According to Nessel’s office, the operation works to locate, stop and return fugitive criminals with outstanding sexual assault orders to Michigan.
