The branch of detectives (DB) of the Metropolitan Police of Dhaka has decided to launch a “total action” against criminal gangs identified in several areas of the capital, with the aim of curbing the robbery, assaults and theft in the capital.

The DB has adopted a policy of “zero tolerance” against crimes and criminals, said the additional commissioner of DMP Rezaul Karim Mallik, also the Head of the DB, while informing journalists at the DMP Media Center today about the maintenance of the law and order during Ramadan.

“Intelligence information, which we have obtained, suggests that most of those involved in theft, theft and assault are between 15 and 30 years old. Many of them are members of youth gangs. A fascist political party is encouraging these criminals and helping their activities,” he said.

He also said they are obtaining information about criminal groups in different areas and measures are being taken against them.

The Head of DB said that the special operation will continue along with its regular activities on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He said that financial transactions have increased significantly during the month of Ramadán, with more crowds in shopping centers, banks, insurance offices, railroad stations, bus terminals and launch terminals.

“To avoid any sabotage or criminal activities in these areas, we have intensified our intelligence surveillance,” he added.

In addition, intelligence surveillance has increased to prevent accidents on roads and roads.

The police officer said that the joint forces have intensified operations throughout the country to maintain the law and order.

“Together with the DB, other security forces are also on the ground. Bangladesh’s army is playing a crucial role there. We are helping them with several intelligence contributions, which will increase even more in the future.”

The Head of DB mentioned that the situation of the law and order is gradually improving in capital, and it is likely to be more improvement.

“If someone secretly collects someone or performs civilian searches that claim to be the database, inform us. In addition, if you have any information on possible sabotage acts, help the DB providing relevant details,” he said.
