Marlboro man sentenced to 45 years for sexual and physical abuse of a daughter of years


Freehold, NJ – A Monmouth County man was sentenced to 45 years in a state prison for sexically and physically abusing his daughter for more than six years, prosecutors announced on Friday.

Andrey V. Penkin, 51, in the municipality of Marlboro, must serve at least 37 years before being eligible for probation under the New Jersey Liberation Law (Nera). The Judge of the Superior Court of the County of Monmouth, Christie Bevacqua, issued the sentence on Thursday.

An investigation carried out by the Office of Special Victims of the Monmouth County Prosecutor and the Police Department of the Municipality of Marlboro discovered that the abuse began in 2016, when the family lived in Sayreville. He continued after moving to East Brunswick and then Marlboro. At the beginning of 2023, Penkin physically assaulted his daughter after discovering that she had cigarette herd of a friend, causing severe brain shock and facial injuries.

Penkin was arrested in April 2023, and after a trial, he was sentenced in September 2024 for two positions of first degree aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault in second degree and two second -degree positions that endanger the welfare of a child.





At the trial, the State presented medical records, witness testimony and physical evidence, including the victim’s diary. The jury returned a guilt verdict after 80 minutes of deliberation.

“The victim in this case endured years of unimaginably cruel abuse of a person who was supposed to deal with their most reliable love and protection sources,” said Monmouth County prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. “We firmly believe that this prayer is appropriate and we hope you send an unmistakable message regarding the consequences of such behavior.”
