Jersey Bulls in the top two with 2-0 Guildford City Vivil

Jersey Bulls moved to the first two Combined Premier South counties after a 2-0 victory in Guildford City.

The former professional raised in a shirt, Kurtis Guthrie, needed only three minutes of his debut to help put the islanders forward: his ball in the box was embedded by Fraser Barlow and became embedded in his own network by a Guildford player.

Toby Ritzema and Jonny Le Quesne had opportunities before Guildford goalkeeper, Monty Conway, was an excellent salvation from a header from Luke Campbell 10 minutes after halftime.

The hosts approached shortly after the restart, while Barlow forced a second excellent salvation of Conway shortly after.

A minute later, Guthrie lost shortly after a head of Campbell Salvado fell on her way.

The veteran midfielder of the Bulls, Luke Watson, lost a penalty of 64 minutes after Barlow had received a foul in the box, but the islanders recovered from the lady almost immediately.

Two minutes later, Guildford made Emmanuel Acheampong have sent a dangerous Tackle in Campbell and two minutes after that, Campbell was present to double the leadership while hitting Joe Kilshaw’s cross.
