Lando Norris and McLaren supported to complete twice the F1 championship in 2025

Lando Norris is the man who destroys Max Verstappen and captures the 2025 F1 driver championship.

That is the opinion of former F1 corridor, Johnny Herbert, who said McLaren has the ability to get away with both world championships at the end of the season.

Chatting with Casinoapps.com After the F1 test session in Bahrein, Herbert said McLaren faced a fight for the builders’ championship, but said that the fact that the papaya team started in Sakhir is a good omen for a very strong campaign.

“Probably the most positive thing from the perspective of the British team is actually McLaren leaving the box and being very fast and very competitive,” Herbert said.

“They have had a really poor show in the past in Bahrain in the tests, so this is a very good start by 2025.

“Hopefully it seems that what they had at the end of last year from the middle of the season continue.”

While McLaren sought to resume where he was left at the end of 2024, his great rivals were adapting to significant changes, his cars and driver alignments.

“Constructors, it is between McLaren and Ferrari,” he said.

“The two controller packages that both have are very strong.

“I would still go to McLaren right now just because I know how consistent that car was on every track that we saw from the second part of the season.

“That’s where Ferrari probably still have to demonstrate that point. So, I’ll keep McLaren for that.

“I am supporting Lando for the pilots (championship). He has a little among his teeth. He has learned a lot of his races against Max. And I think he has learned what he needs to do to be able to overcome him.

“But it has to be very, very careful with your teammate because I think Oscar will be very in the mixture at the same time.”

Herbert also suggested that, although Piastri could be a challenger for the victories of the race and the podiums, ultimately, the Australian could end up being the shock absorber between Norris and the pursuit package.

“I think it’s also a positive thing for Lando he has Oscar as his teammate,” Herbert explained.

“In his first season, Oscar was really so strongly mentally, and he doesn’t care about anyone except himself. And that is the right mentality to have.

“It has (the rivalry) within its own garage. But he also has to fight Max, and George, who is willing to fight at the same time. We know that Lewis will fight if that Ferrari is good enough. Charles will also do it.

“They are not just all who run to beat Max. It’s everyone goes out to overcome the best of that season. And it could be your teammate, which is only six feet away in your garage.

“This year there are many opportunities for someone to come out a little. I don’t think it’s a way for any team to flee with the championship.

“It’s going to be so close. We hope it is as close as it has been for many season. “
