Cities and sanctuary states that force ICE to take dangerous criminal migratory arrests to the streets

Trenton, NJ – The Border Tsar of the White House, Tom Homan, said Tuesday that the Administration needs additional funds for the application of immigration and criticized the sanctuary cities for limiting cooperation with federal authorities.

Homan said that the sanctuary states as New Jersey are putting migrants and citizens in danger by locking prisons immigration officials, forcing them to bring their efforts to apply to the streets.

Homan said that the National Security Department is operating at full capacity, but requires more resources. “We are hitting all the cylinders, but we need more money to make more,” he said.

Homan announced the opening of a 1,000 -units migrant detention center in Newark, New Jersey, last week.

He also criticized the cities of the sanctuary for refusing to cooperate with the federal immigration application, saying that such policies push the operations to neighborhoods instead of prisons. “The Sanctuary cities want to continue locking us with prisons. They force the neighborhood to find the bad guys. When we find the bad boy, they are many times with others, ”he said.

Homan said that border crossings had fallen significantly since new application measures were implemented. “We had a border number at 90 percent in three weeks,” he said. “Think what this president will do in the next four to six months.”

“We need money for more beds. We need money for more flights, ”Homan told reporters after an appearance in the media. “We need Congress to take a step forward and give us the money we need so that President Trump can maintain his promise to the American people.”
