Kentucky home explosion of the home explosion

London, ky. (Wkyt) – Officials are investigating a domestic explosion in Kentucky.

It happened on Wednesday afternoon around 3:15 in Glenview Road in the north of Laurel County. When the teams arrived at the scene, they found the house wrapped in flames.

East Bernstadt Fire & Rescue published photos of the damage to Facebook:

A 66 -year -old woman was seriously injured in the explosion. KSP says he suffered severe burns to 80% of his body. It was taken to a hospital in the area and then transferred to a burning treatment center specialized in Louisville.

KSP says that the first findings suggest that the explosion may have been caused by propane gas used for space heater on the floor.

The Kentucky State Police is investigating with the East Bernstadt Fire Department.
