Airbnb offers ‘Beetlejuice’ fans the chance to tour the film’s iconic house

HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (TMX/Gray News) – Airbnb is offering “Beetlejuice” fans the chance to tour the iconic house from the film.

Delia Deetz’s home in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, is “just as she left it: shrouded in a veil of black mourning for her beloved husband and filled with memories, her cherished works of art, ghosts, and a portal to the Afterlife,” Airbnb said in a press release.

Unfortunately, Airbnb does not rent the house for overnight stays, but for 10 three-hour stays. reservations are available from November 16 to 27 to tour the home.

The reservation request period runs from October 23 to November 4 at 11:59 pm ET. Reservations must be 18 years or older and your guests must be 13 years or older.

When guests arrive, they will be greeted by Deetz’s “(later) longtime assistant,” after which they can wander around to see all of his works of art.

Guests who say the name of the film’s titular demon may discover that “really strange” things can happen, and guests could find themselves in the Afterlife, following the glowing green light to the Waiting Room with other ghosts.

After leaving the waiting room, guests will find a “disorienting” hallway where they can look through keyholes, but they should not open the doors unless they want to be “eaten by sandworms or end up in the favorite refuge of that demon, Dante’s inferno”. “

The penthouse features the Maitlands’ Winter River model, and guests will even be able to create their own works of art in an art class hosted by Delia.

While guests cannot stay overnight at the home, those who book the tour will also receive a one-night stay at an Airbnb listing in neighboring Princeton, New Jersey, at no additional cost.

Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” the long-awaited sequel to 1988’s “Beetlejuice,” is now in theaters.
